By now, you've taken the "Are You Ready?" survey and are ready to get started. 

1. Choose your Career Path and enroll in your Part 1: Prerequisite course.

2. Complete the course within 2 weeks. 

3. Once you've completed the first course, we will contact you to discuss next steps.

  • Am I Eligible?

    To Be Eligible:

    • Adult residents of Orleans Parish who are at least 19 years old, have successfully completed 8th grade, and wish to earn their high school diploma.
    • Minors should pursue their high school education through existing high school programs.
    • Program applicants must have a Library card in good standing. If you don’t currently have a Library card, please visit any Library location to get one free of charge.
  • About the Program

    Time & Effort

    • Complete your first course within 2 weeks.

    • Take your courses online, on your schedule.

    • Spend at least 8–10 hours a week.

    • Average completion time is 12–14 months.

    Transfer Credit

    Transfer up to 14 of the 18 credits from prior high schools or the GED. We will show you how to request transcripts.
